The unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA help in many ways. Together they contribute to normal heart function and the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels. DHA also promotes normal brain function and vision. The unsaturated fatty acids are found in fatty sea fish such as tuna, mackerel or herring. The supply of alpha-linolenic acid, the precursor to EPA and DHA, can be covered by vegetable oils such as linseed, walnut or hemp oil.
Our Omega 3-6-9 contains a high-quality combination of the unsaturated omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids from natural sources. The borage oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids (especially gamma-linolenic acid and also linoleic acid) and also contains omega-9 fatty acids (oleic acid). The linseed oil contains all three fatty acids as alpha-linolenic, linoleic and oleic acid and the fish oil from cold-water fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA).
